ABOUT ME
I have always loved fashion. Growing up, I remember playing dress-up, always making fashion scrapbooks, and regularly re-decorating my bedroom. Being creative at heart, all I ever wanted was to style and make things pretty, and that led me down many avenues.
After school, I qualified as an Interior Designer. I worked for a couple of years before I moved to London and “accidentally” became involved with the floral, events, and wedding industries. Two years later, I relocated back to South Africa and started my own creative business(es) that catered for elite interior design projects and bespoke events.
Yet, my love for fashion never subsided. In 2015, I launched my own handbag label, TAS. Being involved with everything, from concept design and sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, gave me a deeper insight into the fashion industry. One thing led to another, and before long, I added being a personal shopper to my resume. I also developed and hosted a couple of personal-style workshops across South Africa.
In May 2021, we (my Dutch husband and I and our two young kids) immigrated to the Netherlands, where we settled in the beautiful city centre of Den Bosch. Later that year, I qualified as an internationally accredited Fashion Stylist. Since then, I’ve worked at and been introduced to some of the best labels the local (and international) fashion industry offers. As I embark on this new chapter to re-introduce myself as an independent fashion creative, I look forward to meeting you.
My style sentiment: Dress to “the occasion”! The occasion, to me, is life!
In the words of Coco Chanel:
“There is nothing more comfortable than a caterpillar and nothing more made for love than a butterfly. We need dresses that crawl and dresses that fly. Fashion is at once a caterpillar and a butterfly, caterpillar by day, butterfly by night. The butterfly doesn’t go to the market, and the caterpillar doesn’t go to the ball.”
